Michigan 50 Companies to Watch Award was presented by Michigan Celebrates Small Business (MCSB), during the ninth annual MCSB event. It is presented across the second-stage companies to appreciate their tremendous growth and recognize their economic development towards strengthening the US. MCSB belongs to the state of Michigan to recognize, celebrate and cultivate Michigan’s small businesses.

Filmmaker of the Year was presented by Multi-Ethnic Advisory Task Force (MEATF) in Chicago, Illinois. MEATF identifies, encourages, and recognizes individuals with the ‘Global Community Oscars’ every year for their significant achievements in their chosen fields of occupation in the US from different ethnic communities.

Mahatma Gandhi Sesquicentennial Medallion of Excellence for top 20 global icons was presented by The Metropolitan Asian Family Services (MAFS) at Waterford Convention Center, Illinois. The event was a tribute to honor the great Indian freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi’s 150 years since birth. MAFS is one of the oldest and largest ethnic senior Non Profit organizations in the US.

Asian Hall of Fame award was given by US Pinoys for Good Governance (USP4GG) for outstanding leadership and contribution to the community. USP4GG is a Filipino American Association incepted to establish good governance between Filipino Americans and the mainstream community in the US.

Listed as one of the Champions of the New Economy by dbBusiness magazine for driving to enhance growth in the technology sector and to navigate the shift from a manufacturing-based economy to one offering more technical and mobility-based products and services. dbusiness is Detroit’s premier business journal, exclusively commenced to identify the entrepreneurs of that region across thirty industries in metro Detroit and Michigan.

Listed as the Top 10 Successful Immigrant Entrepreneurs by Crain’s magazine for contributions, success, and growth in the US through entrepreneurship. Crain’s Detroit Business connects Southeast Michigan’s business community with news and other significant information.

The Corporate Leadership Award by Global Detroit was presented for strengthening the community through diverse business activities and providing employment opportunities. Global Detroit is a non-profit economic and community development organization supporting immigrants in Detroit and Southeast Michigan.

Crain’s magazine’s 50 Names to Know In Information Technology Award was to recognize the entrepreneurial success in the field of IT. Crain’s magazine selects and honors successful entrepreneurs in Detroit and Southeast Michigan every year for their significant contributions and growth in the IT Industry.

Fast 50 Asian American Businesses Excellence Award was presented by the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) Foundation. The magazine recognizes the robust growth of Asian American-owned businesses in the US, fueling the development through their ingenuity, innovation, and hard work. USPAACC is a non-profit organization representing Pan Asian Americans and their related groups in business, sciences, the arts, sports, education, public and community services.

Founder’s Award by National Veteran Business Development Council’s (NVBDC) was presented to recognize the support towards veterans getting certified to gain employment and business opportunities. NVBDC aims to create corporate contracting opportunities for the US veterans and service-disabled veteran’s business enterprises through certification, advocacy, outreach, recognition, and education.

Diversity Business Leader Award was presented by Corp! Magazine to appreciate the hard work and dedication in making the business successful during challenging economic situations. Corp! Magazine holds a prominent position to support and promote entrepreneurs and diverse business ventures in the US.

Entrepreneur of the Year award was presented by Ernst & Young for the significant achievement in entrepreneurship. This award is one of the most esteemed business awards for entrepreneurs across the globe. It is presented to successful, growing, and dynamic business people, recognizing them through regional, national and global awards programs in more than 140 cities in more than 50 countries.

The Outstanding Young Asian American in Michigan award was presented by the National Federation of Filipino American Association. The award was presented by the Philippine Ambassador to the US, His Excellency Jose L. Cusia. NaFFAA is a non-profit organization incepted to promote the welfare and well-being of Filipino Americans.

Outstanding and successful Asian Business Leaders was awarded by the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce. Every year the organization recognizes various business owners who have achieved notable success and outstanding accomplishments in their respective fields of industry. APACC’s mission is to facilitate business relationships among Asian and US-based companies and to promote the economic advancement of Asian Pacific Americans.

Leader & Innovator Award was presented by Grant Thornton LLP, Lawrence Tech University, and WWJ News Radio. It recognizes leaders and innovators in the state of Michigan who has demonstrated or created unique ideas, technologies, products, and abilities that generate a better quality of life among communities. Grant Thornton International Ltd is a leading independent audit, tax, and advisory firm. Lawrence Technological University is a private institution founded in 1932. WWJ is a commercial all-news radio station licensed to serve Detroit.

Letter of recognition from the President of the US Barack Obama, White House, was received for contributing suggestions on restoring the economic health and vitality of the United States. The economic recession was one of the challenges of the US during 2009. The recommendations and suggestions from entrepreneurs were widely appreciated to bring economic boon and financial progress, enriching growth in the US.
